A wonderful time at Willows!

What a great day we have had today!

In spite of the rain we managed to fit in a lot of exciting activities.

First, we went on a ride on Tristan the Tractor, we saw lots of different animals from the tractor and we sang some farm themed songs. What animals can you see in the photos?

After this we had a chance to explore the outside areas of the farm, and we saw lots more animals up close. We learnt the name for a daddy pig, a mummy and daddy chicken, and a daddy goat. Can you remember them? How could we find out?

It started to rain, but luckily we had a fantastic guide who took us the indoor petting farm, where we all had a chance to feed some animals and cuddle some guinea pigs. What do we need to do after we have touched animals? Why?

We saw a fun show with Lily Rabbit, who taught us a song about 5 radishes.

We all enjoyed our delicious packed lunches - thank you parents and carers!

After lunch we saw another show, this time Peter Rabbit taught us some songs.

Then we watched a sheep race, there were sheep with different numbers and colours on. Can you remember which one won?

Some of us went to see the growing patch and the pigs, and we learnt a very interesting fact about pigs: they chew stones to clean their own teeth!

Finally, after being really beautifully behaved all day, we were ready for a run around! We had a chance to play either in Toddler Town or on the diggers.

It was a great day, and the children were fantastic - well done!

Thank you so much for all of our wonderful parent helpers - we couldn't have done it without you!
